"Drug Free 5K Run Walk 2010" - Apr 12, 2010 Article by Elayne Snyder

The 4th Annual Drug Free 5K Run/Walk is scheduled at Mansfield Lahm Airport on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. with a pre-register by Monday, July 6th.  Race day registration is from 6:45 a.m. - 7: 45 a.m. at the airport terminal.  The run/walk will take place on the runway.  The cost is $12.00 pre-entry fee and $15.00 race day fee. 

CACY, Richland County Prevention Partnership, and the Buffoon Flying Club, Inc. are sponsors.   T-shirts are provided to the first 100 participants.  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age group will receive a medal.  Proceeds will benefit prevention efforts in Richland County and the Buffoon Flying Club, Inc.  Questions, call CACY at 419-774-5683 M-F from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

"Ohio Department of Health Grant" - Apr 12, 2010

CACY is one of sixteen agencies awarded the fiscal year 2010 Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Program (TUPCP) at the Ohio Department of Health.  TUPCP has allocated more than $2 million in grants for health departments and non-profit agencies to perform evidence-based prevention and cessation activities throughout the Buckeye State.
